I have about 70 files to open. I have to open the svg file, then import another svg file and swap out one part of the image for the better svg that I imported.
So
If I import the main file it seems to come in as a png or something. Anyway it is not an svg where I can delete the part I don't like and replace it with the new svg file I imported.
On the other hand
If I Open, I get a new instance of Inkscape, so the old window is open and useless while I work on my new Inkscape screen.
Is there a way to get Inkscape to just open the next svg file in the same instance of Inkscape, that would leave my Text dialogue open too, so I don't have to open it each time.
What am I doing wrong?
UPDATE:
It turns out, if you use Close then it does not open new windows. so don't just delete and open, use Close.
