I can't figure out how to make a gap in a line. I need to do it in bulk, quickly and consistently on various objects. I need it so that the shapes that the laser cuts don't spill out. I tried searching the forum and elsewhere, but I don't know what keyword to use, so I didn't find much. Thanks in advance for your advice.
You not going to find a way to do this in "bulk". I don't know of any extension that will do this. How big of a gap? Create line with the stroke set to that gap. Path>Stroke to Path. Set the result on top of the object you want the gap. Path>Cut.
Hopefully Tyler or Polygon will create a simple screen capture gif video on the steps.
