    Hi guys .

    ย

    New user here.

Somehow I seem to have lost my Square Obect funtion. I think it has something to do with the Object fill and stroke function. I can't see or save the object.

Not 100% sure about "Square Obect funtion" - maybe you want just sharp corners - then itยดs 1 click away. If you want to keep your settings for tools make a double click on it in the toolbar which will open Preferences and hit "Take from selection" for example to make it permanent till you change your mind:

See attached. The square dosen't form or stay as an object. I tried the Take from selection button and have had this problem since then. No matter how i change the setting , nothing changes.

    Hi Awatea,

If you drag you make an invisible rectangle. After that you just click on a colour in the palette bar to set a new colour.

It is possible that the colour is set to 0% opaque = 100% transparent. Then it will still not be visible. You can change that with the Ctrl+Shift+F menu. In the Alpha bar you can drag the the little triangle to the right to make it less transparent.

    Thanks Kirstie

I gave it a try but no change.

Please check out Preferences to get whatยดs currently adjusted for the Rectangle tool:
