I created a file and exported it. When I went print the image I noticed that I forget to add an image to the document. When I try and edit the image I can't. What am I doing wrong?
By export you mean PNG file I guess - don´t you keep the Inkscape SVG as well?
Best practice is to compose and save as Inkscape SVG, export or save COPY as other formats.
Which image are you trying to edit?
The SVG?
If you still have the file - should still be enhanceable.
The PNG?
Can enhance in a bitmap editor - as - it is a bitmap!
Otherwise, use Inkscape again - enhance as you need to - export again.
