I want to ask for help.
How to save *eps (encapsulated postscript) format correctly? When I save it, neither inkscape nor photoshop will open it. Thanks!
You need to install ghostscript and change your system varibales accordingly, or did you already install it? So, opening *.eps files for me works now, I tried to open a sample *.eps file and its all fine. But the problem is, that a file which I created in Inkscape and saved as eps is not a vector graphic any more. It rather looks like a png file / jpeg file when I reopen it in Inkscape. Inserting this file in LaTeX does not work as well, here I would like to use \psfrag. Can anyone help us? Thanl you very much!
May it´s easier on macOS but I have no issue export and import Inkscape EPS files. If you have any effects added to your design most likely it´s going to be rasterized during export. There´s an option to disable this - but the result will look different for sure. Here´s a simple line work exported to EPS checked in Affinity Designer and Inkscape: both in Outline view to check vector data.
