I'm playing around with path and filter effects to create what I describe as complex paths. (Maybe there's an established terminology that I don't know about.) Here's an example that I'm pleased with. I'd love to see what the true artists among us might come up with.
Select the blue path and move some nodes. My goal is to keep everything editable and responsive up to the very last moment before exporting bitmaps.
A word of warning: Combining filters and LPEs like this leads to crashes, on my machine anyway (Inkscape 1.1.1 + macOS 10.15). Save, save, save.
I don't have a clear goal in mind. At this point I'm just exploring some concepts and waiting for inspiration to strike. Here's another one to play with.
