Can´t confirm on macOS. The "last selected" item has to be explicit selected at last - not for instance the last touched in a rectangle selecteion area. You can eg select all you want to align and with shift key down click your main object twice to deselect/select - then align.

Just started using a few days ago. Went through the excellent tutorial by Nick.
Sometimes when I try and align with last selected chosen, the last selected moves to the the object and not the way it should. What am I doing wrong?
