RE: MOUSE - Still not working, I'm using Windows 10, OMEN computer, the mouse doesn't get recognized at all using my Wacom Intuos 4 drawing tablet. It does recognize my tablet pen. I stopped and restarted Tablet and Wacom in Services, that didn't work. Any ideas why the latest version of Inkscape does not recognize my mouse?
I am having the same/similar issue, however I am using a drawing tablet display (not watcom).
Inkscape version 1.0.1 windows 10 pro tablet display - Ugee 2150 (I have two screens, table display is not the main display)
What I noticed: - the mouse works fine until you use the pen, after which the mouse will no longer work - left click or right click - once mouse clicks no longer works, we cannot close Inkscape with window's minimise, restore, close buttons. Switching to another program (on the main screen only, not on the tablet screen) will let you click those buttons. However, if you click within Inscape first, the minimise, restore, close buttons will not work. - mouse click canvas (or anything having a scrollbar), then click with pen, the mouse wheel will still work, but mouse buttons do not. - mouse works fine in other programs (clipstudio paint, artrage, krita, painter, etc)
UPDATE: I went into the Wacom properties and on the mouse, I clicked on PEN MODE and USE WINDOWS INK and now the mouse does work in Inkscape. It did open files and allow me to click on and use various tools, but it is lagging considerably. So, I imagine I'll be trying to make more adjustments to the Wacom mouse properties as well as in the Windows 10 and computer mouse properties. At least it's a start!

Sorry for the duplicate post. I did restart the Wacom services too.
Thanks Cherie, yeah I've been running both the new version and .92 to get around this problem too. Interesting to hear you had some luck with the Wacom Properties and that a non wacom user above is also having the same issue.
@kraken, I have the exact same problems that you mentioned, can't seem to find anyone who knows how to fix this problem. I have a UGEE 2150, and it worked fine in a multiple monitor setup, until I bought a new monitor to replace the other main monitor. Now I can't open a file or do anything with the pen on just Inkscape, and after touching the screen/tablet with the pen, my mouse will not work on that screen. Every other program works fine with the pen/tablet. Also, my pen/tablet does not show up when I go to input devices on Inkscape to try and adjust settings.
How To Fix Mouse Not Working On MacOS Big Sur Version 11.2.3
I updated to the latest version 1.01 on my Mac Mini. Installed perfect with the auto install for Macs. But when launched, my mouse and keyboard had no effect on Inkscape! So, to fix:
Make sure Inkscape is not open! Go to:
Open Finder Applications>Inkscape (right click to see options. Choose to view file contents.)>Contents> info.phlist
This is where the magic is. I right clicked and chose to open with "Xcode" a coding app. A window appears with "Key", "Type", "Value" along the top. Beneath that, you will see a dropdown menu called Information Property List. Open it.
Look for "Supports Controller User Interaction." Look across to the Value. It is set to No. On the far right of the same line is the up and down dropdown symbols. Click on them. Select "YES."
Open Inkscape and my bluetooth mouse and wired keyboard worked!
LOL, probably not! @Polygon ! Just had an issue, looked here and saw no one had the answer, winged it, and posted because it worked. All that matters is it worked, and thought I'd help others.
Actually, if you know the right answer, could you please post it? I'd like to have the correct fix. I searched this forum and an older one and I couldn't find anything but this thread. I didn't see anything about a bug for this either. Love to know what to do.

No - I don´t know as I never experienced this behaviour on M1MacMini/BigSur so far. Your fix sounds more of a compiling error in first place - but as we don´t have macOS developers on board, we just can test&report.
I got Inkscape working sosolala on BigSur after deleting everything from my other 3 Inkscape versions I´m used to use (current/beta/devel2015). I´m happy though it works on M1/Rosetta2.0.
MY MOUSE WORKS NOW!!! Latest version which I just uploaded and tested is the 1.1.1 and my mouse finally works with it! YAY! I was hoping the next bugs fixed version would help, THANKS GUYS!!
Make sure your layers or objects are unlocked. Click "objects" tab then under that is another "objects selection tab" click it. You will notice a objects/layers box pop up in the editor section. There you will see the lock options for layers and objects. If the layer is locked nothing can be selected of edited. Hope that helps.
I just uploaded the latest version, 1.0.1 of Inkscape, my mouse does not respond at all. I use a Wacom Intuos4 tablet.
The mouse didn't work on the previous version either. The pen works fine, but no response with my mouse on my tablet.
Previous versions to 1.0, the mouse always worked just fine.
Any ideas as to what to do?
I'd search the bug-list and see if there is a similar report: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues
Mac? Windows? Linux? I guess Wacom isn't claiming to support Linux, though that wouldn't stop some people :-)
yeah I have the same problem - cant find anything in the bug list - win7 , inkscape 1.0 , intuos 4
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues/2845
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues/562
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/1293
WINDOWS 10
Inkscape Version 1.0.1
The mouse cursor shows and moves when I open the program but does not 'click' on anything, nothing becomes active when I click on it.
I will read the links posted by Tyler and Hugh now.
Thanks
I'm not great at this but here is a video of what is happening at my YouTube channel.

Uninstalled the latest version 1.0.1 and installed the last working version for me which was .92 and the mouse now works fine.

@NinDeSpin You´re not up-to-date with either Inkscape nor BigSur. Just saying.

Meh, did more testing and my idea above did not work.
BUT I did find a way to get it going by this thread:

@marksfrill Your account will be deleted shortly because you got already 3 warnings about linking to non Inkscape content.
@CherieB - Ooh good news... will give it a go. Thanks to the devs and for the heads up!😊
