I just downloaded and installed Inkscape, and I promise I'll work my way through the tutorials, etc.,before asking any dumb questions -- after this one. :) I just need to know that this software will dowhat I need, before I put all that effort into it.
So I've created this simple image: a blue square and a green rectangle, connected by a line (drawn with the pen tool). Now, if I drag the square to a different place, I need the line to adjust accordingly.
It will also work to the Flow into frame text option :
Type your text (center justified), select the rectangle and press Alt + W or do Text > Flow into frame.
To center text vertically, select both text and rectangle and open Align and distribute menu, and select Relative to : Biggest object in dropdown menu then click on Center on horizontal axis icon (second tow, third from left).

Is that possible?
