Trace the shape approximately using the freehand lines tool [p] with [Smoothing: 25.0] or any other value that works for you. Remove excess nodes with [Path > Simplify] or [ctrl+L]. Switch to the node tool [n] and select all the nodes. Use the toolbar to make them [auto-smooth]. Now move the nodes individually until you're happy with the new shape. If you can't match a section of the path, [double-click] to add an intermediate node for better precision.
I'm trying to make a backpack handle but cannot seem to make it (red arrows point to the object or shape I want to make).
A solution I did was (did not work):
1. Use the bezier pen (I'm not quite good at this).
Is there any way to do this?, thanks!
I'd break it down into major parts.
Here's another approach.
