A gathering of friends.....and a quick leaving of friends. 😅 I started this image right after finishing my about screen 1.0 entry. It ended up being more of an "experience" than I expected. An hour into work, my drawing tablet suddenly died. This of course changed my entire approach, but I adjusted and got it done. For the last few years I've been exclusively using a tablet while drawing in Inkscape, so it did feel a little weird to go back to keyboard and mouse drawing. Its encouraging to know that I can still finish projects without having to run out and grab a new tablet tomorrow!
This is my first forum post, so I hope I've got the attachment thing done correctly. I've also made a time-lapse video of the drawing process.
hi dbmulnick and welcome to the forum! Great concept. So sorry your tablet died, but you can't tell what is what on the drawing, and it attached just fine. We look forward to seeing more of your work!
I picked up a XP-Pen drawing tablet (no display) to use with Inkscape on my Mac. It’s taking a while to get used to using it even as a mouse - which is the way it seems you should start to get used to the different input style.
