I have been using Inkscape in my makerspace, especially for lasercutting projects (using a Trotec Speedy 400 and therefore JobControl software).
The recurring issue I am encountering is that clipped paths almost always disappear when "printing" and sending to JobControl.
For now the only way around this that I have found is to undo the clipping and manually cut the paths, which can be a drag.
So my main question is : is there a way to convert a clipped path to a regular path ? Even if it means being unable to modify the clipping or the clipped path...
Also : has anyone encountered similar issues ? With this specific machine/software or others ?
Hi everyone !

The recurring issue I am encountering is that clipped paths almost always disappear when "printing" and sending to JobControl.
For now the only way around this that I have found is to undo the clipping and manually cut the paths, which can be a drag.

Thank you ! 🙂
Clipping does not modify paths, it hides them (or portions of them).
To modify the paths, path operations are commonly used. Multiple paths can be modified en masse using an extension set discussed here: https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/multiple-cuts-in-an-object/ .
@TylerDurden thank you, this looks perfect !
Do you or anyone know if multiple boolean operations will be included in a future release of Inkscape ?
Yes, they will be included.
