Is there an option to program a custom zoom factor to the list of zooms (see image).
I have 1:1 2:1; 1:2 etc. as options, and I would like to make a shortcut for zoom 6:1, but I dont know how to do it. (I know i can set in in the bar on the bottom to 600%, but I wanted to make a shortcut)
If I set the zoom to 300, an then scroll the mouse twice, It will go from 100 --> 300 --> 900%. Set to 200 gives starting from 100% 200, 400, 800... f I set 150 it goes 100, 150, 225, 338, 506% it does not really make sense to me. 🤔
500 I could live with, though I prefer 600, as it is a recommended size for embroidery digitizing.
Thanks for your Help Tyler, I will set up a feature request :).
It might be worth noting that a right-click on the zoom level indicator (at the bottom-right of the window, labelled "Z:") opens a pop-up menu with some predefined zoom levels, one of which is 500%. Unfortunately I don't think this could be changed to 600% without altering the code and re-building the application. Definitely not as immediate as a button on the toolbar, but might still be useful.
Hey guys and girls!

I don't see any easy way. A custom zoom shortcut seems like a good idea.
Info on requesting features (and reporting bugs) is here: https://inkscape.org/forums/beyond/how-to-report-bugs-or-request-new-features/
Check this out, if 500% is useful in one click, or 600% with two 300% clicks:
Hold Shift to zoom out.
If I set the zoom to 300, an then scroll the mouse twice, It will go from 100 --> 300 --> 900%. Set to 200 gives starting from 100% 200, 400, 800... f I set 150 it goes 100, 150, 225, 338, 506% it does not really make sense to me. 🤔

the mouse-wheel also acts like a button, instead of scrolling, a press down on the wheel will click like a button. The preset value 300 works here.
Mouse wheel klicking gives the same effect here.
I'm on Opensuse with Inkscape 1.1
Ah I see... it factors the current value.
OK, I'd file a feature request for the custom button to allow setting an absolute value, e.g. 600%.
