Beyond the Basics Inkscape decimal separator

    Hi.

I am new to this forum, but used Inkscape for years, making icons for my Android devices (for fun).
One thing that have always annoyed me is the following.
I use Windows 11, set to US English locale, with danish date/numeric system.
The thing is, that Inkscape (also using english UI) FORCES me to use punctuation mark as decimal separator, when the rest of my system uses comma. I will NOT switch to danish UI, as I have used english since I started working with computers back in the 80's, and I honestly hate a lot of those translations.
From a search, I found some old threads that told how to change the separator on Linux, but can't find anything for Windows.
Howcome that choice isn't included in the UI settings inside Inkscape?
Leave it up to people to set both the decimal and the thousand separators... Please ;)

    #2 That is correct.

    Just saw your screenshots...

When I try to use a comma in decimal numbers, then Inkscape cancels them...

What Inkscape version are you using?

When I try to use a comma in decimal numbers, then Inkscape cancels them...

I can only reproduce this in Inkscape 0.91 with your settings.

    Maybe try Inkscape 1.3?

I am running 1.2.2, but I just found something out...
When opening inkscape without anything, it uses comma.
When opening one of my old templates, it's using punctuation marks. If I leave the old document open, and open a FRESH Inkscape, it STILL uses punctuation marks.
Closing ALL open windows with Inkscape, and opening an empty new document, it's back to comma...
It seems like it has saved the decimal separator in the documents, and totally ignores Inkscapes own setting... That seems like a bug to me...
So I guess I am left with 2 options... Either go through the long hours of creating new templates from scratch, OR (if possible) force the exisiting documents to use the comma...

Not sure if I wanna check v1.3 just yet... I can see it's still alpha.

    Update:
I am still using v1.2.2 and discovered another oddity.

When opening an empty new document, it is set to use the comma as seperator. That's fine.
But as soon as I drag or import a bitmap file (tested png and jpg) OR EVEN AN SVG previously made in Inkscape onto the document, it switches to puntuation mark.
Even using undo to roll back to the empty document won't help. It sticks to the punctuation mark.

It works as expected here. I prefer when all looks the same as in the XML editor.

My shared link points to the latest version of 1.3.

I can now verify that it's fixed in the v1.3 betas, so it seems to be a bug in the latest stable version (1.2.2).
