My solution right now would be to export a curved line and use that every time I need one (which could be a last resort), But I don't want to have to keep on exporting a line to my projects and copy+paste it to the areas where I need it if there's actually a way to do it in the editor.
Any suggestions/comments will be helpful, Thanks :D
I tried watching his video but it doesn't have what I need, The closest thing I can get to making a curved line is using the bspline path in the pen tool. But it doesn't have the same node path as a normal line, so I'm trying to figure out how to convert it to have the same node path as a normal line (if thats even possible cuz its how those bspline lines are supposed to work).
And still, I was hoping I could just do it by adding a point to the pre-existing line and dragging that point up anyways (like how Scratch would do it)
On Polygon's Gif, take a look a the cursor : when it's triangular, Polygon switched from bezier to node tool. Look for node tool or bezier tool tutorials on YT. Another example See also there Help > Tutorials > Advanced (then look for editing paths). BTW : not sure this post has something to do in the Beyond the basics section.
I wasn't sure where else to put it, I thought it would be here tho. I could try going to the places you mentioned, but could you (or polygon) take me through a step by step to achieve what polygon just did (Like, if you opened up inkscape with a blank project, where would everything be to do that)
WOAH, IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!!! (3:47 -> 3:57 in the video), I honestly forget that was even possible despite the fact that I watched an Inkscape tutorial that showed how to do that exact function when it introduced the bezier pen tool, lol. Now I know how to actually create those lines :)
Only question I have now is if its possible to change an already pre-existing line to this same curved shape, cuz I still dont know how to move the line like that without it forming a triangle. It's okay if this isn't actually possible tho, I'm quite content with the solution I have now to this problem so it's good.
Thank you both SO MUCH for helping me out with this (and now I see why this should've been in the beginner page instead)
Been trying to make some curved eyelids, but for some reason Inkscape just doesn't wanna do it.
What I'm trying to achieve (got it with Scratch):

What Inkscape is giving me:

Learn how to draw lines, for example with this video by Nick Saportito.
You can also draw straight lines and then use node tool to edit them.
That is a closed shape. Can you check that you have "None" set at "Shape:" when Pen Tool is active in the tool bar?
Thanks for the replies David248 and Polygon 😃, I will try out your suggestions and see if they fix my problem.

Like so?

Can you somehow visualize from point A what you have to B what you want in a quick scribble?
