I hope the young spring season is treating you well. I have just uploaded Tutorial 15A in which I touch upon creating a 3-D effect, specifically a cylindrical soap canister with an appropriate gradient to produce the illusion of depth and lighting on a curved surface, and a composite decorative band around the middle using the Pattern Along Path function. I'll have soap globes and a vase in Part B of this tutorial.
I note many of the excellent video tutorials and am finding myself having a tough time keeping things basic and simple, and yet maintaining a reasonable modicum of adventure and challenge. I hope people get positive value out of these tutorials. I sure do!
Many thanks for the thumbs-up! I just got a new computer late last week (the old one bit the digital dust) and am now back on line. It feels very good to be connected again. I'm now working on Part B of Tutorial 15, which will have stylized soap globes and a vase, with gradients and other goodies to give that 3-D effect we all want (I hope that's not an over-generalization). Do stay well. I enjoy your letters. Roy

Hi. Nice work here, Roy. Good information and tutorial.
Given the content ... there is lots of "aid" (ade) here and it is refreshing to see your material, as always.
Keep on creating and sharing, sir.
Enjoy a great week.
