Trying to follow a tutorial that calls for the "drop glow" filter, but it is not on my filters menu. I have .92 installed from the repos on Mint 19.3. It looks like the tutorial used an older version.
How do I get this filter? Was it removed/moved/renamed?
I can't recall exactly what Drop Glow did, but as of v0.9 it became possible for the built-in filters to accept parameters via a dialog. This meant that some stand-alone filters could be removed, as they were just the same as another filter, but with different parameters. I suspect that Drop Glow was a victim of this, and I think Filters > Shadows and Glows > Drop Shadow… is perhaps what you're after, but using the second tab to set the colour of the shadow.
Note that filter which take parameters are indicated with an ellipsis (…) after their name. Drop Shadow… is the only one like that in the Shadows and Glows section of the menu, so if that's not the right alternative, I suspect you're out of luck.
