So I'm very new to Inkscape, and have been loving it so far. I'm aware that when generating shapes it remembers key characteristics from something you've previously drawn. Whenever I try inserting a new shape however its coming up as below - which isn't something I've previously drawn. It may be a very noob error, but I've spent 2 hours this afternoon trying to find a fix and can't see where I'm going wrong! Thanks in advance for any help.

Note that tools in Inkscape can have their own style or the style that was used last. Settable in Preferences.
