Hello.

I'm currently working on a project where I am drawing an inflatable boat which has text around the rounded sponsons.

however, when you get to a compound curved area when you look at the text side on it naturally appears curved slightly along the height.

is there a tool to replicate this? I've tried text on path, but naturally this goes along the length of the text, not the height.

I'd probably convert the text to a single path (object to path, ungroup, combine), then use the envelope path effect.

There is also a path effect called "Lattice", that I might try.
