Beginners' Questions Shadowed clear frame

    Being a new user, I don't know what to expect when I
    open a new file.SO, when I open the program for the first time,
    I see something that I describe as a Shadowed clear frame.
    Is this normal? IF not, how do I remove it??

    I think you're referring to the document border. There info on how to turn it off here
