Beginners' Questions Set background color to white when exporting a png

    When I export my image, the background is always gray.
    What I've tried: File/Document Properties/Background/Background colour and setting it to white. But when I export, it is still gray. What am I doing wrong?

    I'd make a new bottom layer and fill it with a white rectangle.
