Not sure if anyone else has this problem and couldn't find in the forums .
Selecting hidden objects doesn't seem to work. For example, if I have a circle in the background and a square on top all in one layer, I can't seem to select the circle when using ALT+Left Click. I can use the tab key to cycle through the objects and am able to select the circle but when I try to move the circle only the square moves and the circle remains in place.
I have tried this step on a Windows 10 machine and it works just fine. I can easily select a hidden object using ALT+Left Click without any issues.
Not sure why this is happening on my Linux machine.
I have attached a video to show. Please let me know if there is any other information you need.
