I recently have gotten a Windows 11 laptop and downloaded Inkscape 1.1.2 to try it out on. I also have edited my system variables to make it so that I'm able to save my SVGs as XCFs. I do this to keep all my layers while also being able to finally export it as a PSD so I can further edit it in Photoshop.
However, I keep getting repeated errors when I try to save my SVGs as XCFs. In 1.1.2, I get a popup and then it says the file could not be saved. In a past version to test it out (.92), a few attempts have been successful, but now it's just freezes every time I try for some reason.
I'm just wondering if there's a fix to this somehow or if there's another way to end up with my SVG as a PSD with layers kept. I know I can open them in GIMP and then export them as PSDs, but my layers are not kept that way. The ideal solution would be a way in order for me to be able to save SVGs made in 1.1.2 as XCFs with the same version, that's how I used to do it on my old computer.
I've been using this tutorial on my replaced Windows 10 laptop to save SVGs as XCFs.

In the last line it's trying to write to drawing-1.xcf.xcf
Could it be that the file is really called drawing-1.xcf and there's an error in some script that adds the file ending twice?
