Hi everyone , First of all i want to thank you for your time looking at my question . It is possible (and most likely) that it has been answered before but i'm not even sure how to structure the issue let alone to search for it . My issue is this i made a grid by combining couple of squares one beside the other and then used the Path > Combine to make them as a whole . The issue is that wherever the lines were crossing they are still counted as 2 lines and when i run it trough the laser it cuts or engraves twice some times even more on the same spot which is not preferable . Even after its combined and brake apart it still brakes as a separated square . I tried some of the other options like Union , Difference , Exclusion etc but non did the job most just deleted parts of the grid . Any suggestions will be appreciated .
Hi thank you for the response . It kind of made sense my issue with this plan was that i wasn't sure if i will be able to make them with the same size because the snapping of the line was overlapping on some points . But after seeing your example and if i understood it correctly i will just go wild with the lines on top of the problematic grid as a template and trying to not overlap them . Was just hoping that there is some hidden option i didn't found in the Inkscape to merge them removing the overlapping lines :D .
You have a great point there but i ignored the snapping to grid at all ... :( still haven't gotten used to think this way . Thank you for the assistance :P

Thank you for your time .
I guess you have to think like a machine.
I´d draw a bunch of lines along a given grid and connect endpoints where possible after combining them. Hope this makes sense:

What is easier and faster: Aligning 43 squares or drawing 16 lines with snapping to grid? ;-)

You´re welcome.
