Tried to search internet with "drag select lasso tool inkscape" but nothing found: In ie. Illustrator and (other programmes) I can switch between lasso drag style select and rectangel select.
I often need this option especially when selecting nodes. The alt-left mouse drag option is of no use in this mode and neither rolling the mouse wheel is helpful. Is there any other way to achieve a lasso select in Inkscape? Kind regards, Raaskot
No such Select-mode in Inkscape. Have you tried shift+Scrollwheel or alt+Scrollwheel or select one node then Select All to select all nodes from a continuous path?
Thanks @Polygon, then I don't have to bother looking for it;) And yes, I know the keyshorts mentioned, however the Select All option (with one initial node selected) limiting the selection to connected nodes is new to me -- very nice :) Kind regards, Raaskot.
Inkscape doesn't have a lasso-type tool, but there is something similar. Choose the select tool [s] then [alt+click+drag] to select the objects under the cursor or [shift+alt+click+drag] to add objects to the current selection. This method can be unpredictable where there are a number of overlapping objects.

Lasso select tool, FireAlpaca

I guess he wants to select nodes not objects.
That's correct, @Polygon.
The ability precisely to select a collection of nodes I can ie. make more or less pointed would be very useful for me when drawing :)
