Beginners' Questions Inkscape 1.1 does not display the bracket key but a parenthesis

    Do not know for how long this is the case, because I seldomly use the hook bracket key and the curly bracket key in the textbox. When hitting the bracket key it displays the parenthesis symbol instead. Using another keyboard shows the same. Running Inkscape version 1.1.1 My O.S. is PCLinuxOS KDE and MATE. Both O.S.'s show the same. When running Linux Mint with Inkscape version 0.9.1 no problems found.

    What can I do to get things running correctly?

    I'd try resetting the preferences.
