Hi! This is probably a really easy answer but I just can't find it on google. How do you resize the preview window for the trace bitmap window? I can stretch it horizontally but can't increase the size vertically and it makes it really difficult to adjust the settings because I can't see the preview.
Yoooo! Someone needs to answer this or patch Inkscape so that it works as a regular window with screen snapping. Beggers can't be choosers, I know, but I'm not a begger, because there are other programs and AI to choose from here. I do like Inkscape though, so much, it's amazing!!!!!
I'm just putting mine up on my tv and there was an option to remember the last window position that I checked. I'm guessing that there is some rasterization issue or something and the devs decided to just disable the ability to max/min and treat the window like a window :D
the trace preview in its current state is useless. if I didn't care what the line edges looked like, why would I be using vector graphics. the scalability of the art is a key benefit of it. but they cannot scale the preview? this renders the preview window basically useless for vector tracing. beggers can't be choosers is not true. just because i beg doesn't mean that inkscape's team should waste their time making a trace preview window that doesn't help a single user trace.

Have you tried to scale the autotrace panel? On macOS I can scale it from the sides and get a significant larger preview.
