I've been using Inkscape for my graphic design projects and have been exploring different ways to enhance my artwork. One feature I'm particularly interested in is creating custom brushes to add unique textures and effects to my designs. However, I'm unsure of the steps involved in creating custom brushes within the Inkscape software. I've searched through the documentation and online tutorials, but I haven't found clear instructions on how to create brushes from scratch. I'm hoping someone can provide step-by-step guidance or point me to helpful resources to get started with creating custom brushes in Inkscape.
Inkscape don´t support vector/raster brushes per se like a painting app, but you can add something in this regard by using "Shape:" from the dropdown or "Clipboard" at the Bézier-tool or with the use of Path Effects like Pattern along Path or Bend:
