Hello everyone.

I am new to this cnc stuff so if you can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a small desk top 3018 PRO CNC, I have run their 3 projects and they run beautifully on my machine. So I loaded Inkscape, (newest one). I got me some nice DXF art and I have even tried SVG of which the SVG doesnt want to load up sometimes. I downloaded Unicorn G code and I have gone on line to Youtube, watched videos and followed them perfectly. Everyone has a different way of doing things, but I cant generate G Code for the life of me. I am so frustrated that I wanted to throw my mouse thru the wall...tried everything...but I will not give up until I have used all resourses. I have Candle 1.1.7 GRBL and it runs just fine if you have artwork that is in G Code. I keep coming up with errors...can anyone help?

Please tell us exactly how you are trying to create gcode, including which extension you're using.   Are you getting any error messages?  Please tell us the error message, if so. 

It sounds like you might be using one of these 2 extensions?  http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5986  (https://github.com/martymcguire/inkscape-unicorn ) or  https://github.com/firebovine/inkscape-spherebot  (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7656 )  If that's the case, we have seen several reports of that extension not working properly (although none confirmed yet).  Since it is created for a specific hardware (as far as I understand anyway) you will need to contact the maker of that extension, to report the problem.  Perhaps they could give you instructions for how to use it, as well?

Or if you're using a different extension, please tell us which one.  Also please tell us exactly what steps you are taking.

Or else, Inkscape has other ways to create gcode.  Maybe you are not restricted to using that "Unicorn" extension?
