I am having an issue since I updated to the new version. I am importing a jpg, reducing the opacity of the object and then exporting the selection. If I do it as a PNG the file size is huge, if I do it as a jpg then the opacity is not reduced in the export.

I assume this is an issue with the settings somewhere but I dont know where to start fiddling.

Jpeg don't support transparency aka alpha channel.
