    Hello guys.

    I have a set of graphic icons , each one in a SVG file.
    the graphics are shape object lines (without stroke) and i need to increase the weight of these lines to make the icons look a bit bolder.
    So i am using the Dynamic Offset option, and i get the handler that allows me to increase the weight of the lines i need.
    But i need to do this to several files, and keep them consistent, so i am looking for an input box where i can type the value i want to increase the weight of these graphics.
    I looked around and i can not find a way to accomplish this. Instead, if i change the offset manually using the handle, looking at the bottom toolbar there is no information showing any value, but instead, need to switch back and forth the selection tool to see how much it was changed. i attach a screenshot to illustrate what i am trying to explain:

    Dragging the handle and trying to get the same value for multiple graphics would be a nightmare and too time consuming this way.
    Is there any other way to either, input a value manually or at least watch the amount of pt being changed as i am dragging the handle?

    Thank you

    Maybe try Path effects->Offset instead.

    Thank you for the suggestion.

    I am trying that, but setting any value in the Offset field moves the orange dot upwards without affecting the graphic itself:

    Or am i doing something wrong?

    The linked image won't open on my old iPad. Try another way: draw a rectangle around your graphic with a small gap, take the Fill bucket tool and click between "frame" and graphic. Take the node tool to select one node of the frame, then "select all", hit backspace to delete. The left shape can be "off-setted" by all available tools.

    The outset/inset values can be numerically set in Preferences>Behavior>Steps

    @Polygon.

    I tried following your instructions and could not follow sorry... but it would make the process as tedious or worse than just looking at the numbers switching back and forth the selection tools as i need to do this on multiple graphics with ungrouped lines. I fixed the attachment...

    The orange dot that moves changing the offset value is actually hiding the little diamond handle which is the one i need to change the shape of the object.
    Excuse my ignorance on the tools here.
    Here is another screenshot

    Ok so i changed Inset/outset value to 50 pixels to make it noticeable.. i zoomed inkscape at 2600% and tried moving the handle.. it keeps moving in very small increments... nothing that can be controlled to replicate in the rest of the graphics i need to modify..

    For consistent transforms across files/objects I'd use the Outset function

    👍

    @TylerDurden THANK YOU!!!

    I understood now...

    So first i need to ungroup everything in the graphic, then i am able to use the Outset option and now with 3 pixels set in the preferences the graphics i have expand to the size i need in one shot.

    Thanks so much. Problem solved
