I’m new to this and I was wondering is there anyway to create the image below using Inkscape.

    This is actually quiet easy:

Type white text 3 times and put it onto a circle - Duplicate set black fill color, put it under text and scale down a bit and give it a blur - group - duplicate/put under first group and scale. Duplicate and so forth. Quick example file attached:

The duplicate and change color to black don’t work

Don´t get why you´re saying this having the file in front of you.

If I fill the color black with a black background then it isn’t going to show up so I appreciate the help but you’re either don’t know what you’re talking about or you explained it wrong

So from my understanding based off of you explaining how to do it, I typed the white text then I put it on a circle, duplicate that text and fill in black but it’s not showing up because my background is also black so can you explain what you did in order to do that

That's an interesting challenge. Here's my (mischievous?) attempt.

Text is placed on a blurred 120 degree arc for the main shadow.  I used a nearly transparent segment for the descent into darkness. Text, arc and segment are grouped, cloned and rotated to make a text circle. I grouped the circle and made shrinking tiled clones. Smaller clones were placed above but I wanted them below so I used [Extensions > Arrange > Restack...] [Based on Position] [Direction: Top to Bottom].

There are many adjustments you can make. The opacity of the filled segment changes how quickly the rings are lost in darkness. The thickness and blur of the arc changes the shadow between levels. The tiled clone parameters change the number of steps, the spacing, and the shrinkage from level to level. Finally, the text is editable so you can add your own message. (Live editing the text looks good on screen.)
