Beginners' Questions creating a stencil for a laser cut

    Hello,

    Im very new to inkscape but i need to make a stencil to can have a logo cut out in metal.

    I have my "logo/text" but i need to make sure that all is connected and that the text/logo is a outline.

    So far i have only the text/logo that i want.

    My question is.

    ex. in the letter O i need that there is some kind of diagonal cut so the lines would be connected.

    and how do i make all the text outline when that is done.

    Is what you have a vector graphic or a raster/bipmap image?
