Hello, I have an image for which I want a laser cut sticker made. Issue is that the image has multiple smaller elements and I'm unable to create a background (that extends a couple of mm outside) around  the image as a whole. Trace bitmap is creating the tracing around individual elements and not like a complete outline around the image. Any suggestions on how to overcome this?

This is probably not exactly what you are after but it should be fairly easy to modify it.

Thank you @mcopperwheat . The output is similar to what I want. How you did it is what I wanted to know. I have a host of images which would need that work.

    Thanks in Advance :)

Okay, so import the image, trace bitmap, draw the outside shape using the Bezier curves tool (make sure it is one closed contiguous shape), that's your outline. draw a circle for the hole at the top, duplicate, move it down to trace the bite out of the circle then select both circles (shift + select) and subtract (ctrl and -) the object on top will cut through the object below.. Repeat the last step to cut the hole from the main shape.

Thank you. i guess no faster way than using Bezier tool :)
