Using Inkscape with Other Programs 'Set Clip' object won't cut & paste to PowerPoint

Hi folks... when I make a box, write on top of it with black text, highlight both the box and the text, and go 'PATH' - 'DIFFERENCE', the text area becomes transparent. I can export that box with the transparent text and save it to a .SVG file. I can then go back and do a 'COPY/PASTE' and put it into a PowerPoint. All good so far!! I can also import an image into Inkscape and put the box I created with the transparent text on top, highlight both, and then go to 'OBJECT' - 'CLIP' - 'SET CLIP', and the image will now have transparent text cut out of it. I can export the image with the transparent text and save it to a .SVG file. However, when I go back and do a 'COPY/PASTE' and put it into a PowerPoint, it won't show up. I hope this is making sense... See attached example. The left side is the first example which I can save and then copy and paste to a PPT. The right side is the example where I can save it, but when I cut and paste it to a PPT it comes up blank. Thanks in advance for any guidance!!

Sounds like PowerPoint doesn't support svg clips.

As this is a clipped bitmap, you could try export as a png.

Edit : I don't use Powerpoint. Tried with Libreoffice : clipped image svg works (directly copy-pasted from inkscape).
