Hi @brynn I did indeed follow the instructions for uploading a saved png from my File Manager to the forum, using the paper clip icon (bottom left). It appeared to upload correctly and the button on the right next to the Trash can was Blue. Not sure what went wrong? Very odd?
@brynn Just realized the uploaded images are going into my Inkscape.org Gallery and not to the post here on the forum. I now have 3 versions of the same picture in my personal Gallery... 🤣 There must be an issue with where the images are being located to...?
Well, the attached images are supposed to go into your gallery. They are highlighted in pink, right? (I have a bit of a disagreement about the need for them to be in the member's gallery. But they are supposed to be there.)
But I have no idea why they aren't displayed here. Let's @doctormo and get some investigation.
I can also report a test I made a few months ago, where an image that I attached does not show up. I've mentioned it a few times, but always in the midst of other issues, where it got lost and never got answered. So maybe here it can serve as another example.
Ok, in this message, I attached 2 images, but only one shows up. https://inkscape.org/forums/testing/testing-lightbox/#c2432 If I open the message for editing, it shows the image is attached. But it just isn't showing in the message. However, for your messages here, when I open your messages for editing, I don't see the images listed as attached. Possibly a moderator is only supposed to get access to the text, and not the attachments?? I'm not sure. But this will need Martin's attention - it's way over my head.
Unfortunately, he's not available at this moment. It sounds like he's occupied elsewhere, but he told me he is planning to set aside a day this week to address all the forum issues. I'm not a developer, but I guess we sort of have to expect new issues to be discovered, when a new software is rolled out. At least in our circumstance, where we didn't have heavy testing first.

(Hmmm....I wonder if I should make a formal Issue in GL for this? Or is the @ good enough?)
Yes, my plan is to take a snapshot of the forums to work on the issues. So if you find a bug like this, move them into the issues forum and I can focus on each of them.
