I am using Inkscape to build an SVG file that I import into laser cutter software (Snapmaker Luban). I draw lines with the Bezier Pen Tool and they render beautifully in Luban. However, Luban fails to see the text, so an Inkscape file that is saved with a mix of text and bezier lines, only has the bezier lines when rendered into GCODE.
Is there a way to make Inkscape text act similar to the bezier tool lines, so they can be laser cut?

Did you try selecting the text and in thr menu, Path->Object to Path?
