I was able to solve the problem myself and would like to share the solution for all Mac users. I found this through a note in the following article (https://www.norwegiancreations.com/2015/08/an-intro-to-g-code-and-how-to-generate-it-using-inkscape/): "In the Path to Gcode tab we make sure Subpath by subpath is selected and that Sort paths to reduse (yeah, we know) rapid distance is checked. The rest is as it is by default. Make sure that only the object you want to generate G-code of is selected (in our case: the dinosaur) and make also sure that you have the Path to Gcode tab selected before pressing apply (you will, believe it or not, get an error message if you have a different tab selected)."
I hadn't received an error message on the wrong tab, but it didn't work. Now it works and maybe I can help some people with the same problem with this posting.
Hello,
first of all thank you for this awesome software, I really love using it and it helps me a lot in my daily work as artist.
Today I wanted to save something as gcode, so I did all steps as recommended in this article (https://urish.medium.com/how-to-turn-your-3d-printer-into-a-plotter-in-one-hour-d6fe14559f1a). When using the pre-installed extension "Path to Gcode" and saving no data will be saved at the specified path.
I'm using Version 1.0.2 (e86c8708, 2021-01-15) on a MacBook Pro M1 2020 with Big Sur 11.2.3 (20D91).
I hope you can help me and would like to thank you in advance for any support, I would be really very happy if the export would work.
