It seems in version 1.2 my output files are much larger than in previous versions.
For example: A SVG design that I exported as a PNG file is now 5.72mb, where as the same exact design/dimensions created an export file of 1.17mb in the past.
My design dimensions are 3646x3646 pixels (square) at 350 dpi., which are the same settings I've had for several years.
Any ideas as to why all of a sudden the files are much larger?

In the new version of export, the compression can be set by exposing the png settings. Maybe they are different from your previous.
