I must print a document (A3) with a geographic map and several objects. There is an object with filters for having a relief effect (in french "Contour en arête"). The printing is awful. The object seems like a cloud whose form is the form of the text.
The problem is similar with any filter. It disappears when I delete the filter.
I've tried to generate this object in a .png file which is imported after in my document. The result is bad because of the small size of the object.
I've separated each object and apply on the first line and the S letter the filter (the filter is used for having relief). To apply the filter, I did a copy/paste filter propriety in the XML editor)
The result of printing is bad. I've read that there are problems for printing objects with filters. Does a workaround, different than generation of a .png file, exist ?
Hello,
I use Inkscape 0.92 on Debian 10

Is there a solution to get a good result ?
Thank you very much
Can you share an example Inkscape svg?
I can't share the whole document because it's confidential but here is an extract of the document.
The cloud disappeared baecause I had a bad value for the layer. Now it's "Normal".
There is something strange. In the original document, only the object with filters is not well printed.
I've created a document for forum and all objects are not well printed. So I think there's another problem.
I join the .svg (inkscape svg) and .pdf
Thanks you very much for your help
OK, I see the issue on the example svg is a filter applied on the group (text4136-6-5-0-1-1-9-0-43-1).
I would work large and ungroup completely before filters. Then scale down for finish work.
Thank you very much for your response.
I've deleted filter in the group. It's ok now except filter. So I'm going to modify the file as you told me and I'll post the final result
