If I have a text object e.g. text828-8-9-5 can I mirror its contents to other text objects e.g. text828-1, text829-1 so that when I update the contents of text828-8-9-5 it updates the other text label objects.
If this isn't standard functionality (NB looks like you can mirror with paths which isn't a solution) can I use scripting to achieve this, maybe as a manual action? I'm familiar with creating scripts in adobe illustrator but never tried in Inkscape.
For your first Text-object go Edit->Clone->Create Clone - this will update with your editing on the first Text-object - if that´s what you´re asking for

Ok didn't realise that this would work https://inkscape-manuals.readthedocs.io/en/latest/cloning-objects.html
