Beyond the Basics Aligning Text Lines to Grid?

I know how to create grids and snap objects to them, but is there a way to snap lines within a text field to the grid?

I have multiple text fields on the same page and I'm trying to force the lines to align across the text fields. Is there a way to do this beyond aligning the fields to the grid and being careful about the line spacing?

Perhaps I'm overcomplicating this and there's a simple way to achieve the same result?

Every text has one "text anchor point" which you can snap to the grid, but this only applies to the first line. You can't snap individual lines of text within a text object. All I can suggest is that you use single-line text objects, snap them to the grid spacing, then group them to retain the spacing.

I was worried that might be the case. Thank you!
