I am using Inkscape 0.92.5 and facing strange problem. Few weeks back I designed and saved files but next time I wanted to open the progress bar (windows 10) keep moving (never ending). I thought it might be windows problem. But I noticed if I put that trouble making SVG files in a folder and do not touch. I can use Inkscape even create new desing/open old files except those trouble making one.

Right now I tested, I wanted to open those trouble making SVG files I got to reboot computer and when progress bar keep moving there are no thumbnails.

In short: if I want to open trouble making svg files and click on that then the prgress bar start moving and do not stop. As the Inkscape files open the rest of the Thumbnail disappear from computer. Then I reboot computer.

Do you think those saved SVG file might got some kind of Bug?

Does Windows freeze when you copy/paste/move between folders?
To ask the same question another way, does this only happen when opening the files in Inkscape?

Off course I can also open file. The problem is as I try to access the problem start as I have said in previous posts.

Ok, If you could open on computer then it is not Inkscape problem right?

    Thank you.

What software did you install in order to enable thumbnail view for SVG files? That software may be the issue. This kind of software usually generates thumbnails both in Windows File Explorer and in the file open dialogue in Inkscape, depending on your settings.

Hi, thank you for the reply.

I think in older Inkscapeforum.com I had shared SVG Explorer Extension by dotzdev.com. Since then it was installed on older computer and worked fine and I guess on newer computer (windows 10)

in 2019 I installed again and did not face any trouble..

    Thank you.

I use the same SVG Explorer Extension 0.1.1 (Dotz Softwares) in Windows 10, and have no issues with your SVG file.

Hi, thank you very much for quick reply. I appreciate very much.

Then it seem the problem is neither Inkscape nor SVG Explorer Extension.

Additional: I further searched about SVG Explorer Extension and found that The 32 bit installer will run on a 64 bit system, but the extension will not function. The signed versions are now blocked on Windows 10.
As I am using very old installer of SVG Explorer Extension it could be 32 bit signed version and on Windows 10 (may be) creating problem?
I am giving URL links if that helps.

    https://github.com/tibold/svg-explorer-extension/releases

    https://github.com/tibold/svg-explorer-extension/issues/29

Any suggestion which version should I use?

    Thank you.

Click the Windows Start button and start typing About your PC, use the suggested shortcut to system settings to find out if your System type is 64 bit or 32 bit.

When I am testing different versions of software like this, I always rebuild the thumbnail cache in Windows. Easy to do using Disk Clean-up.

Hi, thank you for the reply.

I am using Windows 10 64 bit. Before asking question in this forum I had already done about Thumbnail cache as explained in the given URL link.

I appreciate your help in this matter. Thanks.
