I've been working with SVG files and seem to be having an issue with my files rendering differently in different programs. For example, I create/edit an image in Inkscape, and then open it up in another program and it will be displaying different colors or it will hide different objects. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing or what, but outside of Inkscape the svg is different than when it was saved. I've attached two screenshots to show the difference. Any ideas?

I´d try to avoid any groups.

So, if I understand correctly, using groups prevents an svg from rendering properly in other programs? 

When it works - yes.
