I'm working on this celt border decoration, but now, the bottom group of "cords" won't snap to the next one.

I'd ensure that only the snap to nodes is active. More active snap points can interfere with expected behavior.

It was actually snapping to some red bars (for spacing I guess), how can I disable that? Where's the settings?
In the snap tools (sometimes a flyout menu in the upper right corner, can be set to be a permanent bar on screen right), snaps can be configured.
If you see red bars, the "Alignment/Spacing" snap may be active. I'd turn that off.
Feel free to share an entire screenshot and/or an example Inkscape svg file.
I'm sorry, but I can't find where that is. How can I find it in this menu?
