Beginners' Questions Inkscape changing colors from .ai file

    Hello!
I have a small work in the office and I'm doing it for over a year and it takes me ages - I need to extract images from .ai file (they won't show up as layers) and they are partially coveres by writing, other images etc.

So... I open .ai file in Inkscape but it changes colors. What I'm doing it taking image, export it as png and then -by hand in Gimp - changing colors. Considering how slow Inkscape is (32gb of ram, i9) it took me 3 hours already to export 15 images out of 40. And then I have to recolor every single one so the work that should take one hour takes at least 10.

Is there an option so Inkscape won't change colors? I made comparision what image looks like opened in gimp/photoshop/paint/exported to pdf and how it looks once opened in Inkscape
I can't post whole image for obvious reason as it's copyrighted.... :(

Im always recieving .ai file, can't change that.

    Problem

From the look it seems transparent colors don´t make it into Inkscape. AI-file is a proprietary file format - so A can write whatever they want into the file and don't have to worry about compatibility like the Inkscape-SVG is not readable in other vector-editors. If you have AI at hand you could try PDF as an export format, but it is not sure that transparencies are 100% supported. Sorry for the bad news.
