I previously had the LaTeX distribution version TeXLive 2020  installed, but recently I switched to MiKTeX. However, it seems that my TexText  plugin is still looking for the pdflatex.exe in the previous TexLive installation path.

Command D:\Program Files\texlive\2020\bin\win32\pdflatex.exe tmp.tex -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error failed: [WinError 2 The system cannot find the file specified.

How can I make it recognize the path of my new LaTeX version without reinstalling the plugin?

    Edit: I used Inksacpe 1.2+TexText 1.8.2. Now I see Inksacpe 1.3+TexText 1.9.0.

I try to update. Now it works.😀 But I am not sure whether the problem will occur in the new version. Maybe every time we should reinstall Tex Text.

    Hi,

I ran into the same problem and even reinstalling Inkscape and TexText did not solve it.
However, I found out that the LaTeX Path is stored in

    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\textext\.cache.json

By deleting this file TexText loads the new PATH Variable on startup.
Hope this helps some people with the same problem :)
