There is a little bit strange problemos in InksCape numero 1.0.2-2. Well, in a Fill and Stroke Window, in subwindow for fill color, in a part of window with a list of setted gradients, there is a two infos: Gradient name and gradient number.
The gradient number of selected object is shown in white color. But other numbers is black. This is very hard for me to read white numbers on light gray backgorund.
I searched for setting to change this to some better colour combination, but I can't find it.
Hm, should I download new themes and from what adress? In linux is this simple. Just one repository from everything. In windows you have to go to hunt in wilderness of internjet.

In the Preferences, you can pic a color theme, same with your OS... it can be a dance between the two. 😕
I tried this, open Preferences, Theme.....
But what now? What theme should I choose?

I would try some other themes and see if any can help.
What operating system? You might try another OS theme.
My OS is Windows 10.
If I select theme "use system theme", or "Adwaita", whole user interface become a little bit "strange".
For example in floating, hmmm..... Set of commands? ..... for selected color from color ribbon..... There is commands:
Set fill
Set stroke
But in changed theme I can't find this two essential commands.
Windows has themes to choose from. I would try a different Windows theme, but I don't have a Windows machine with version 1.xx.xx to test. :(
