I want to make a void of the shape of a word but it doesn't work. The important information is that it is not a simple word, it is a word that I have used envelope path effect to shape. I know how to do diffrence path with letters and objects, but it is not working when using a word which I have applied envelope path technique. 

I read some people saying you can not apply difference path in groups objects. I checked that it is possible to ungroup the word shapped with envelope, but when I do it, it looses the shape, so, it doesn't help.

Is there any solution for this?

I think you need to convert the Object to Path, but also because it's next, you then need to ungroup the resulting path group and merge the letters back together into one path before running the envelope extension.

I thought you could do a group path dif, etc in beta 1.0.  Have you tried that?
