I'm unable to copy or duplicate an object containing a mesh gradent and paste it to a new inkscape doc. Anyone else have this issue? I'm using win 7, but on a really old laptop and not sure if it's a mesh issue or my laptop
Steps. copy or duplicate an object with any mesh gradient, open a new inkscape doc and paste it in. It does paste the object but with no gradient or fill at all. I do have the 'move gradients with objects' button' selected, but suspect it doesn't work with mesh gradients.
attached is a copy of what I get each time. Is there a way to dup an object with a mesh and paste it into a new doc?
Kirstie, well, that does make me feel a little better then! so far my workaround is doing a save as and saving the entire doc with a new name. Hoping the mesh thing will have lots of improvements in v 1.0! I'm new at using it, and there aren't that many tuts around. thanks for letting me know.
I'm confident it can be resolved... it will require copying information from the Defs along with the object, the same way pattern objects are copied to new docs.

It is not your computer! I have the same problem here in W8.1.

ok, great to hear that, thx Tyler! Usually it's me that causes the issues, lol.
It would be helpful if somebdy could migrate that bug to GitLab and possibly ping Tav (who implemented the mesh gradient feature).
I doub't anybody is actively browsing the Launchpad tracker anymore to look for open issues.
